Description:
We’re excited to expand our Planning Team with an Apprentice Project Controls Technician to join our Professional Development Programme for our 2025 intake, based in Christchurch, Dorset.
Responsibilities:
Working across several projects your Key responsibilities with our Training, Support and Guidance will be:
- Support the project and planning team to help drive projects through building effective project schedules; understanding the relationship between the activities.
- Maintain the project schedule in accordance with our planning and control processes and contractual requirements. Facilitate the acceptance of the project programme by making sure the programme embraces the full project work scope and is in line with the PMO control standard and NEC 4 contract requirements.
- Monitor, and analyse project programmes. Produce reports to confirm the programme project cost and schedule performance values. Carrying out critical path and variance analysis. drive corrective actions to help maintain programmes and to deliver on time.
- Assist in the resource and cost loading of programmes when required.
- Attend monthly meetings to ensure an understanding of overall progress and developments.
- Identify the impacts of change events on the schedule baseline
- Ensure the reasons for, and the factors influencing each change to the project baseline programme and the implications of such a change are understood and communicated to the wider project team.
- Developing key relationships with estimating teams, site teams, clients, design teams, consultants, contractors and project stakeholders
- Attend collaborative planning and production control meetings to help drive efficiency full stop
- Help collate key metrics and identify the reasons for non-completion of tasks.
