More about your role
As part of this apprenticeship, you will work towards achieving a Level 2 City & Guilds qualification in Property Maintenance Operative equipping you with the essential skills, knowledge, and behaviours to succeed in your role.
During your apprenticeship, you will have the opportunity to spend up to 4 working days a month at our PfP Thrive training academy based at 1 Centro Place, Derby DE24 8RF. This state-of-the-art facility, supported by highly qualified instructors, will provide you with hands-on training and guidance to help you excel in your position.
The apprenticeship programme will last for 2 years, during which you will develop practical skills, theoretical knowledge, and the confidence to take on various property maintenance tasks. To complete the apprenticeship successfully, you will need to pass all required qualifications and assessments.
You are expected to work efficiently and keep your manager informed if any issues arise. Maintain a clean appearance and take care of any assigned IMS vehicles or equipment, making sure they are secure. Use technology to complete your work effectively and meet regularly with your mentor or manager for instructions. Participate in team meetings, contribute to continuous improvement, and handle calls professionally. When entering properties, keep tenants informed and leave their space tidy. Attend your college course at PfP Thrive in Derby and complete all required training, even if it’s outside normal hours. Always follow health and safety rules, customer care standards, and company policies. You’ll also support wider community and equality initiatives and take on reasonable additional duties as needed.

More about you
You will be dedicated to completing the Apprentice Joinery course and attending the block release at PfP Thrive based at 1 Centro Place, Derby DE24 8RF. You will need to consider how to get to and from this location.
You should be able to follow instructions, have basic IT and keyboard skills, and understand the importance of providing excellent customer service. Good time management, motivation, and responsibility are essential. You need to be quick to learn new skills and maintain a smart, presentable appearance. Ideally, you’ll have GCSEs or equivalent qualifications at grade C or above in maths and English.
