POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused Solar Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is a 1st or 2nd year Apprentice Electrician with experience or strong interest in solar installations, maintenance, and renewable energy systems.
Location: Saskatoon Head Office, located at English River First Nation Grasswoods Reserve #192J

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, inspect, test, and maintain solar power systems
  • Coordinate with residential, commercial, and industrial customers for the successful installation of renewable energy projects
  • Support construction cost estimating of solar projects
  • Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and electrical codes
  • Collaborate with team members and site supervisors to complete projects on time and on budget
  • Provide mentorship and support to apprentices and trainees when applicable

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1st or 2nd year electrical apprentice.
  • Good aptitude for mechanical and construction
  • Experience with solar PV systems considered an asset
  • Strong understanding of electrical codes and safety protocols
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and comfortable working in a remote or on-reserve setting
  • Valid driver’s license
