Job Description Based on site at the Matamata branch, this is an exciting opportunity to start your career in spray painting and heavy machinery finishing. As an Apprentice Spray Painter, you’ll assist with preparation, colour matching, and painting of equipment, working alongside experienced technicians. You’ll gain hands-on experience while learning industry best practices and developing your technical skills. Key responsibilities include: Preparing, painting, and touch-ups on machinery to a high standard Assisting service technicians during machine builds and projects Colour matching and spraying 2-pack paint accurately Maintaining a clean, safe, and tidy workshop environment Supporting strong customer service by providing clear updates on work comp Qualifications You’re motivated, eager to learn, and have a keen interest in spray painting or the automotive/heavy equipment industry. No prior experience in spray painting is essential, what matters most is your enthusiasm to learn and grow. Ideally you are based in Matamata or the surrounding area.
