You will work on a variety of projects across different sectors, including education, commercial, sports, health and industry. This has recently included projects such as the Alexander Stadium, National Rehabilitation Centre and Paradise Birmingham.
As an apprentice, you will be working with and supported by other apprentices and BIM technicians using digital tools to create intelligent 3D models and drawings to communicate the Arup design. You will be working towards becoming a Building Services BIM Technician responsible for 3D model and drawing production, information management and digital collaboration.
As part of your apprenticeship, your academic studies will lead to a BTEC Level 3 National Diploma in Building Services Engineering delivered at a local college. In parallel to the academic side, the on-the-job learning will lead to and industry recognised EngTech professional qualification.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR CANDIDATES WHO HAVE A MINIMUM OF 5 GCSE GRADES A* - C INCLUDING MATHEMATICS (PREFERABLY B); ENGLISH (LANGUAGE); A SCIENCE OR TECHNICAL SUBJECT.

Is this role right for you?
We’re looking for apprentices who are curious and ready to evolve how they think and work.

If you can share your knowledge and ideas and encourage others to do the same; whilst having a desire to deliver excellent services for clients – we’d like to hear from you.
You should be able to start this opportunity no later than September 2025.
Eligibility for apprenticeship funding requires candidates to have the right to work in the UK and continuous residency in the UK since at least September 2022. Candidates holding a visa must ensure it remains valid for the full duration of the apprenticeship, which may extend up to 5 years.
We may close the role earlier than the advertised date should we receive a large number of applications, so please ensure you apply early.
