WHAT TOLEDO TOOL & DIE CAN OFFER YOU: Salary of $75,000-$90,000 depending upon experience Weekly pay 10 paid holidays Full benefits WHAT MAKES YOU A GREAT FIT FOR THIS POSITION: Previous experience in a factory is beneficial but not necessary Strong work ethic Positive attitude Consistent attendance Willingness to learn Safety minded POSITION SUMMARY: The APQP Engineer will lead and coordinate the implementation of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) processes for new product development and launch. The APQP Engineer will ensure quality standards are met from concept through production by collaborating with cross-functional teams and applying best practices in risk assessment, process control, and continuous improvement. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: • Leads and manages APQP activities for new product introductions and process changes. • Develops and maintains key APQP documentation, including Process Flow Diagrams (PFD), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Control Plans, and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) submissions • Works closely with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure quality requirements are understood and met throughout the product lifecycle. • Facilitates Process FMEA sessions with cross-functional teams. • Supports the development of measurement systems and capability studies (MSA, SPC). • Manages customer-specific requirements and communicate effectively with customers and suppliers on quality issues. • Review and interpret dimensional results to communicate improvements. • Review GD&T and advise on any revisions if necessary. • Ensures compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and other relevant quality standards. • Provides training to other team members on quality-related topics and best practices. • Review and approve check fixture designs based on supplied GD&T. Requirements EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: · Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering or related field preferred. · 3+ years of experience in quality engineering, preferably within automotive or manufacturing industries. · Strong knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, MSA, GD&T and SPC. · Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively in cross-functional teams.
