Responsibilities

THE ROLE

Type: 12-month non-ongoing or S26 temporary transfer, with potential for extension or permanency
Location: Offices in all state capitals, hybrid WFH model.
Clearance: Australian Citizenship with baseline clearance or ability to obtain it essential.

This dynamic APS 6 role places you at the heart of a national regulator’s communications efforts. You’ll work in a small, high-performing team where your contributions will shape the organisation’s voice, both internally and externally. The role is broad and engaging, offering the opportunity to:

  • Develop and coordinate strategic communications to support key organisational goals.
  • Manage media enquiries, prepare responses, and oversee the media inbox.
  • Lead branding initiatives and ensure consistency across channels.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies.
  • Craft executive communications and strategic content for the intranet.
  • Influence communications processes, driving innovation and continuous improvement.
