Location: Canberra (preferred), with potential placements in Brisbane, Melbourne, or Perth
Security Clearance: Must hold or be eligible for NV1, NV2, or PV (AGSVA clearance required)
Work Arrangement: Onsite only
Working Hours: Up to 40 hours per week

TECHNICAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Proficiency in one or more of the following: Python, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, J2EE, RESTful APIs, Django, Ruby
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes and OpenShift
  • Experience or knowledge of automation tools like Puppet, Ansible, and Docker
  • Understanding of secure coding practices and software development lifecycle
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design, develop, integrate, and document software solutions that meet business and security requirements
  • Support system monitoring, troubleshooting, and issue resolution
  • Assist with automation and deployment of software using COTS and GOTS tools
  • Contribute to the development of automated testing and continuous integration pipelines
  • Document technical processes and support knowledge sharing within the team
  • Escalate issues and seek guidance from senior team members as needed
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with ASD standards
