Your New Role

$55.24 Per Hour + super (Australian Public Service Level 5):

You will be responsible for:

  • Perform lease accounting activities including reconciliations, journal preparation, lease assessments and monthly reporting.
  • Manage the life cycle of fleet and property leases within SAP REFX, including new leases, modifications and terminations.
  • Ensure compliance with AASB 16 lease accounting standards and maintain accurate lease documentation and records.
  • Support month-end and financial reporting processes, including lease liability, interest calculations, financial statements and audit requirements.
  • Provide asset management support and advice to stakeholders, liaising with internal teams and external providers to investigate and resolve variances.

$60.26 Per Hour + super (Australian Public Service Level 6):

You will be responsible for:

  • Conduct detailed financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting and variance reporting to support business decision-making.
  • Monitor and manage divisional budgets, cost centres, projects, accruals and financial performance.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver projects, resolve issues and provide strategic financial advice.
  • Prepare high-quality financial reports, business cases, briefing papers and corporate documentation.
  • Support governance, quality assurance and compliance activities, ensuring adherence to legislation, policies and financial management standards.


What You Will Need to Succeed

$55.24 Per Hour + Super Position (Australian Public Service Level 5):

The successful applicant will demonstrate:

  • Experience in SAP REFX leasing module will be advantageous
  • Background in Finance, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and/or Credit Card management.

$60.26 Per Hour + Super Position (Australian Public Service Level 6):

The successful applicant will demonstrate:

  • Strong knowledge of financial management principles, governance and compliance requirements, ideally within the Australian Public Service or a large government environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting and variance reporting within a complex organisation.
  • The Logistics
    • Contract until December 31st, 2026, with a view to extension or permanency.
    • Full-time & Hybrid working arrangement.
    • Hourly rate: $55.24 (APS5) or $60.26 (APS6), + super.
    • An Australian Citizenship & Tertiary qualification (proof required) is mandatory.
