The Derrick Golf and Winter Club is Edmonton’s premier family-oriented private club, offering a wide range of athletic facilities and social activities for members of all ages. We pride ourselves on providing a friendly and safe environment where families can enjoy golf, tennis, swimming, and more throughout the year.

SUMMARY

We are currently seeking a motivated and energetic Aquafit Instructor to lead our Aquafit classes. The ideal candidate is passionate about fitness, enjoys working with people of all ages, and can deliver fun and effective aquatic workouts.

REQUIREMENTS

• Required: Aquatic Fitness Leadership Certification from one of the following: Fitness Alberta (AFLCA), WaterART, YMCA or CanFitPro.
• Required: Current Standard First Aid or CPR-C certification
• Preferred: Previous experience instructing Aquafit or other group fitness classes
• Strong communication, leadership, and teaching skills
• Hours of Work:
  Aquafit classes are held during the following times: Friday: 8:30 AM – 9:30 AM
  Additional classes may be added based on participant demand and instructor availability.

• Plan and lead engaging Aquafit classes suitable for a variety of fitness levels
• Ensure participant safety and provide modifications as needed
• Create a positive and welcoming environment
• Maintain music and workout plans in alignment with facility standards
• Report any incidents or concerns to the Aquatics Manager
