A Swim Instructor at British Swim School teaches swim lessons to children and adults, starting at 3 months old using our fun, gentle and progressive methods. You will receive training to build your confidence and ability to work with a variety of swimmers and abilities. Having fun and interacting with our swimmers is an important part of the role! A strong focus is placed on providing survival swim techniques living out the British Swim School mission and making a big impact on decreasing drowning.

MINIMUM Qualifications:

• Must be 17 years of age or older.
• Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR Certification(s) REQUIRED.
• Swimming/Instructing: 1-2 years Experience.
• Enthusiastic personality!
• Experience in the water teaching.
• Must maintain ALL certifications throughout the length of employment.
• Must complete ALL required British Swim School Aquatics-specific training.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience working with children.
• Customer service skills: 1 year preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

• Enthusiastic personality with strong relationship and customer service skills.
• Effectively communicate with customers and employees, bi-lingual is a plus.
• Disciplined to follow schedules and enforce safety procedures as well as follow policies, teaching methods and procedures of British Swim School.
• Able to multi-task in a changing environment with priorities in order.

Each franchise location is independently owned and operated by a franchisee (franchise owner). Your application will go directly to the franchisee, and all hiring decisions will be made by the management of this franchisee. Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00-$23.00 per hour
