JOB OVERVIEW

The Aquatics Manager is a key leader in overseeing all aquatic programs and operations within our facility. This role ensures a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment for participants of all ages, while managing staff and delivering high-quality programs. We are looking for someone with a strong background in aquatics, sports coaching, or teaching—someone passionate about water safety, fitness, and helping others thrive.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Current lifeguard certification and experience (required).
  • Background in sports coaching or physical education (preferred).
  • Strong swimming ability and knowledge of water safety practices.
  • Additional experience in martial arts (Karate, Judo) or physical activities (basketball, cheerleading, climbing) is an asset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage participants of all ages.
  • Previous experience working with children in educational or childcare settings (preferred).
  • Proven ability to manage groups while encouraging a safe and fun learning atmosphere.
  • Passionate about health, fitness, and aquatic programming.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily operations of the aquatic facility, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  • Plan, deliver, and evaluate a variety of aquatic programs, including swim lessons, water fitness classes, and recreational activities.
  • Lead and support lifeguard staff through training, scheduling, supervision, and performance reviews.
  • Conduct safety drills and maintain emergency response readiness.
  • Partner with schools and community organizations to promote aquatic programs and events.
  • Monitor swim lesson progress and communicate effectively with parents and guardians.
  • Maintain facility and equipment to the highest standards of cleanliness and safety.
  • Manage participant behavior with professionalism, fostering a positive and inclusive environment.
