JOB TITLE: FISHERIES TECHNICIAN  Company: Aquatics Triangle – Foster Lake & Pond Management (A Bland Landscaping Family Company) Location: Regional Field Sites (Residential & Commercial) ---------------------------------------- POSITION OVERVIEW Foster Lake & Pond Management (FLPM), a proud member of the Bland Landscaping family of companies, is seeking a motivated Fisheries Technician. This entry-level role is designed for individuals eager to learn the operational aspects of freshwater fishery management and stormwater maintenance. You will support the Fisheries Division and Stormwater Team in a hands-on capacity, ensuring our clients’ aquatic ecosystems remain healthy, functional, and beautiful. ---------------------------------------- KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Fishery Management: Assist with fish distribution (processing, transport, and stocking) and data collection via seining and electrofishing. * Aquatic Maintenance: Perform aquatic vegetation treatments, chemistry adjustments, and nutrient mitigation. * Installations: Help install and maintain aeration systems, fountains, fish feeders, and artificial habitats. * Stormwater Support: Assist the Stormwater Team with the maintenance of Stormwater Control Measures (SCMs). * Monitoring & Service: Provide monthly monitoring for annual maintenance clients and ensure all equipment is cleaned and maintained properly. ---------------------------------------- QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE * Required: High School Diploma or GED; valid Driver’s License (MVR check required). * Preferred: Associate degree or experience in environmental management, fisheries science, water resources, or landscaping. TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE (HELPFUL BUT NOT REQUIRED) * Familiarity with boat operation, trailering, and heavy equipment. * Basic knowledge of turf establishment or aquatic vegetation. * Ability to operate small equipment, hand tools, and pumps.
