JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Native Arab - Shipping & Logistics Coordinator to oversee and manage the logistics, shipping and transportation operations efficiently. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating shipments, managing documentation, liaising with suppliers and freight forwarders and ensuring smooth operations in compliance with local and international regulations.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3* years of experience in shipping, logistics, or freight forwarding, preferably in the export* sector.
  • Strong knowledge of international shipping regulations, Incoterms and customs procedures.
  • Proficiency in logistics management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent negotiation, problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Fluency in Arabic and English (written and spoken) is required.
  • Ability to handle multiple shipments and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience working in GCC markets and knowledge of regional shipping regulations.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and logistics tracking tools.
  • Certification in logistics or supply chain management (e.g., CILT, APICS) is a plus.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, coordinate and monitor shipments from origin to destination, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Manage logistics documentation, including bills of lading, invoices, shipping instructions and customs clearance paperwork.
  • Communicate with shipping lines, freight forwarders and transport companies to arrange cargo transportation.
  • Track and update shipment status, providing timely reports to relevant stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international shipping regulations, including customs and trade laws.
  • Optimize logistics processes to minimize delays, reduce costs and enhance efficiency.
  • Resolve any shipment-related issues, including delays, damages or discrepancies.
  • Negotiate contracts with transport providers and ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
  • Coordinate with warehouse teams for inventory management and stock movement.
  • Maintain accurate records of shipments, invoices and financial transactions related to logistics.
  • Work closely with internal departments such as sales, procurement and customer service to align logistics operations with business goals.
