Job Title: KYC Consultant (Arabic Speaking Mandatory) Department: Compliance Location: Dubai, UAE About Dubai Islamic Bank: Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB) is a leading Islamic bank in the UAE, offering a comprehensive range of financial products and services that comply with Islamic principles. Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced KYC Consultant to join our growing Compliance team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the Bank’s compliance with all relevant KYC/AML regulations and internal policies. This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, and a deep understanding of Islamic finance. Key Responsibilities: * Conduct thorough customer due diligence (CDD) reviews, including enhanced due diligence (EDD) for high-risk customers. * Analyze customer information, including financial transactions, to identify potential money laundering and terrorist financing risks. * Prepare and maintain accurate and up-to-date customer risk assessments. * Monitor and escalate suspicious activity reports (SARs) to relevant authorities. * Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including business units, legal, and regulatory bodies. * Advise business units on KYC/AML requirements and best practices. * Stay abreast of all relevant regulatory changes and industry best practices. * Contribute to the development and implementation of KYC/AML policies and procedures. * Participate in internal and external audits and examinations. Qualifications & Experience: * Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Law, or a related field. * Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in KYC/AML compliance within the financial services industry. * Fluency in Arabic (written and spoken) is mandatory. * Strong understanding of Islamic finance principles and regulations. * Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. * Strong attention to detail and accuracy. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Proficient in MS Office Suite.
