Description

We are seeking a passionate and qualified Arabic Language Teacher to join our teaching center in Sharjah, specializing in teaching Arabic as a second language to non-Arab speakers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching Arabic to adults and children from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds, using modern, student-centered teaching methods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Arabic language lessons tailored to non-native speakers of varying proficiency levels (beginner to advanced).
  • Develop and implement interactive teaching materials and lesson plans that accommodate diverse learning styles.
  • Assess students’ progress through written and oral evaluations, and provide regular feedback.
  • Adapt teaching techniques to suit the age, background, and learning objectives of each student or group.
  • Create a supportive and encouraging classroom environment that promotes active participation and language acquisition.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and curriculum coverage.
  • Participate in curriculum development and contribute to the improvement of Arabic language programs.
  • Stay updated with the latest methodologies and technologies in language teaching.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Arabic Language, Education, Applied Linguistics, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience teaching Arabic to non-native speakers.
  • Proven experience working in multicultural classrooms or with expatriate communities.
  • Familiarity with international teaching standards and Arabic as a Foreign Language (AFL) methodologies.
  • Excellent communication skills in Arabic and English (spoken and written).
  • Proficiency in using digital tools and online platforms for teaching (e.g., Zoom, Google Classroom, interactive whiteboards).
  • Culturally sensitive, patient, and flexible in teaching approaches.

Preferred Skills:

  • Certification in teaching Arabic as a second/foreign language (e.g., TAFL, DAEFLE, ACTFL).
  • Experience preparing students for proficiency exams (e.g., ALPT).
  • Experience in teaching both Modern Standard Arabic (MSA) and spoken dialects (e.g., Gulf or Levantine Arabic).

Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED4,000.00 per month
