Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW:

Orbit International Survey Services LLC is seeking a highly skilled ARAMCO-approved E&I Inspector with proven offshore and structural experience to join our growing team. Candidates must hold a valid SAP number and be ready for immediate mobilization in the UAE.
The successful candidate will oversee and execute inspection activities for electrical and instrumentation works, ensuring strict compliance with project specifications, international standards, and regulatory requirements. This includes material inspections, installation verification, testing, EX compliance checks, and close coordination with clients, third-party agencies, and internal project teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Comply with all departmental procedures, HSE protocols, and quality/environmental management standards.
  • Maintain strict adherence to information security guidelines to safeguard sensitive data.
  • Review and prepare Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) in line with project and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct in-process, final, and area completion inspections both onboard and in workshops.
  • Inspect incoming materials and verify certifications for electrical and instrumentation components.
  • Monitor installation of cable trays, electrical panels, field instruments, and telecom systems.
  • Witness and verify electrical testing activities, including HV cable tests, insulation resistance (IR), earth continuity, and torque checks.
  • Inspect EX-certified equipment for compliance and perform tubing/leak testing.
  • Interpret and work from technical drawings, including P&IDs, SLDs, GADs, loop and termination diagrams.
  • Operate and interpret results from test equipment such as multimeters, OTDRs, and insulation testers.
  • Identify and document non-conformities, issue NCRs, and monitor punch list closures.
  • Coordinate and liaise with clients, subcontractors, and project stakeholders to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate inspection records and ensure timely submission of reports.
  • Support HSE programs and actively participate in the company’s “Stop Work” safety policy.
