We are looking for an applicant to help us here at the Arcade at Golden Coast Holiday Park in Woolacombe, looking after a busy arcade helping guests with machine issues, and helping guests with prize redemption at the ticket shop.
Applicants MUST be 18 or over.
An ideal candidate will be willing to work mostly Full-Time, with shifts ranging from either 9am to 4pm, or 4pm to 11pm during peak times (School Holidays), or 10am to 4pm and 4pm to 10pm during off peak times. During holidays, hours will be abundant, but may dip during off peak. More evening shifts during the week will garner more hours every week.
We will also be looking to hire temporary staff for the Summer Holidays, so please contact us if you need a temporary job for the summer. Part time positions may also be available, don’t hesitate to get in touch.
We don’t work to a set rota, and new rota’s are generated with notice to allow our staff to request certain days off during the week. Please understand that not all requests will be accepted, but we will do what we can.
Both shift patterns are required from all our staff, both in seasonal and permanent positions.
This position is seasonal, and will terminate when the site closes for the year at the beginning of November. Any remaining holiday hours left not used will be paid out after that.
Applicants are not required to have worked in the sector previously, as full training will be provided, but we appreciate initiative and a willingness to figure things out themselves.
You’re own transport, or bullet proof way of getting in to work is a must, public transport unfortunately makes it difficult to arrive on time for your shifts. More-so to leave at 11pm.
Skills:
- Strong hospitality skills with a focus on guest services
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations
- Willingness to learn how to resolve simple issues with machines when required (training provided)
Duties:
- Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Provide exceptional customer service and ensure guest satisfaction
- Help guests redeem prizes for their tickets in the Redemption Shop
- Assist guests with inquiries and machine issues
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the arcade
