Overview ABOUT THE POSITION Archaeologist | Atlanta, GA VHB’s Atlanta office is seeking a temporary Archaeology Lab Intern to support our team in the laboratory for approximately 4 hours per week. This position focuses on assisting with the processing, cataloging, preserving, and analyzing materials recovered from archaeological investigations, as well as helping with day-to-day lab operations. Responsibilities Process, catalog, and preserve artifacts Assist with artifact photography and inventory Help prepare artifacts for curation Support report production and formatting related to artifact analysis Assist with lab organization and daily tasks Skills and Attributes Strong verbal and written communication skills Team-oriented but able to work independently Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access) and Adobe Acrobat Basic knowledge of photography/digital camera use Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to handle time-sensitive tasks Strong problem-solving skills Minimum Qualifications Currently pursuing a master’s degree in anthropology, archaeology or a related field.
