Your Opportunity Your role will include as-needed support for senior review and oversight of cultural resources field work for various programs including for large utilities clients including: archaeological survey, testing, evaluation, and construction monitoring, report and section writing, site record forms, as well as other tasks as assigned. Must demonstrate awareness for workplace safety; and be willing to work independently when conditions are appropriate or with limited supervision. You will work closely with Stantec's project managers, laboratory resources and environmental staff. This position will be based in our Walnut Creek office. Your Key Responsibilities * Manage tasks and projects according to approved scopes of work, and deliver quality reports on schedule and within budget * Interact and interface professionally with Tribes, clients, and other staff * Completing QA/QC on deliverables, including field notes or documentation  * Construction contract administration and site inspection services * Participate in Health, Safety and Environment (HSSE) Policies, Procedures, Standards and Guidelines in the execution of all work * Assignments/projects are advanced in nature and require the application of mature knowledge * Responsible for planning and conducting assignments/ projects having broad scope for independent accomplishment and coordination of difficult tasks * Provide supervision, training, technical direction and mentoring to more junior staff * Review work of junior staff * Applies technical and business knowledge and methods to develop creative, effective, and economical solutions to address current and potential project issues * Conduct peer reviews of routine and moderately complex work by colleagues or more junior practitioners * Travel – Up to 100% - Local and regional travel required  Grounded in safety, quality, and ethics, our experts lead their fields with dedication, a creative spirit, and a vision for growth. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
