Join our Information Security Team! Akamai's Information Security team is responsible for safeguarding Akamai, its customers, and the Internet worldwide. We are looking for a Security Architect to join our Product Security team. You will have the opportunity to make the Internet a safer place, powered by the scale of Akamai's platform and influence. Shape Internet Security In this role, you will enhance the security of Akamai's products by working closely with development teams to integrate security into the design and development of Akamai systems. You will collaborate with industry-leading security experts on a global team. This role will have a focus on the security of projects targeted to customers within the United States government (DOD). As an Architect, you will be responsible for: Performing security-focused design reviews of applications, systems, and networks. Partnering with development and infrastructure teams across the organization to assist with remediation of identified issues. Working collaboratively with development teams on secure design and development choices. Providing guidance and answering questions about security practices. Contributing to documentation on security best practices, standards, and requirements. Serving as a subject matter expert during incidents and remediation projects. Identifying the appropriate tools and processes for ensuring that products are meeting security and compliance requirements. Do what you love To be successful in this role you will: Have experience in security architecture in a large, global environment (identifying architectural security weaknesses at the application, OS, and network level) Have experience with US government-related security and compliance requirements, guidelines, and tools, such as FedRAMP, FIPS, NIST, STIG, and others. Be current with the latest security technologies, attack techniques, and vulnerabilities. Know how to remediate common vulnerabilities and be able to propose custom solutions based on application architecture and implementation. For US based candidates only - the base salary for this position ranges from $126,100 - $261,900/year; a candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. Compensation for candidates outside the US will vary. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
