Description

JOIN AN AWARD-WINNING, MULTI-DISCIPLINARY CONSULTANCY WHERE TECHNICAL EXCELLENCE MEETS CAREER ADVANCEMENT IN COMPLEX ARCHITECTURAL PROJECTS.

We are currently recruiting for a technically minded, qualified Architect to join an award-winning, multi-disciplinary Consultancy based in London. This is an excellent opportunity for an Architect to take on a key role within a talented and growing practice, with the chance to lead on technically complex projects and progress their career further.
The role will focus on leading a small team across RIBA Stages 3, 4 & 5, with a strong emphasis on cladding remediation and recladding projects within the residential, leisure, and education sectors. This position would suit an Architect with a strong technical skill set, proven experience in job running, and the ability to deliver high-quality design and detailing throughout the technical stages of a project.
The practice predominantly uses AutoCAD, with Revit and SketchUp used occasionally, so proficiency in AutoCAD is essential, while experience in Revit will be considered highly advantageous.
It is essential that the successful Architect has strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and demonstrable experience of working directly with clients, contractors, and consultants throughout the construction process.

REQUIREMENTS

  • ARB registered Architect with at least 2 years’ post-qualification experience
  • Strong technical ability, particularly in RIBA Stages 3-5
  • Proven experience of job running, ideally including cladding remediation or recladding projects
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD; Revit and SketchUp skills advantageous
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills
  • Based in or around the London area
  • Highly motivated, proactive, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
Responsibilities
  • Leading projects through RIBA Stages 3-5 with a focus on cladding remediation and replacement projects
  • Managing and coordinating a small team, ensuring design quality and technical accuracy
  • Working directly with clients to discuss all aspects of each project
  • Developing high-quality designs from feasibility through to planning and technical delivery, with an awareness of cost, statutory and regulatory constraints
  • Preparing and coordinating tender and construction packages
  • Producing detailed construction drawings and technical detailing
  • Managing planning applications and ensuring statutory compliance
  • Job running, including contract administration and site inspections
  • Using AutoCAD daily, with occasional use of Revit and SketchUp
  • Further duties to be discussed at interview stage
