The Architect / Building Administrator is responsible for overseeing the planning, design, and management of building projects, as well as coordinating the administrative, operational, and compliance aspects of plans review, inspections, and construction.
Responsibilities:

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, LICENSURE, AND SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, Building Science, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Licensed Architect (preferred) or ability to obtain licensure and/or Building Code Administrator, Inspector, or Plans Examiner (multiple fields)
  • 5+ years of experience in architecture, construction administration, or facility management.
  • Strong knowledge of building codes, standards, and permitting processes.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other design/management software.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

ARCHITECTURAL & DESIGN DUTIES

  • Develop and review architectural plans, drawings, and specifications
  • Ensure designs comply with local, state, and federal building codes, zoning laws, and safety regulations
  • Coordinate with engineers, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
  • Prepare cost estimates, feasibility studies, and design presentations
  • Conduct site inspections to verify adherence to design and quality standards
  • Implement sustainable and energy-efficient design principles where applicable
