Kinaxis is committed to ensuring a fair and transparent recruitment process. We use artificial intelligence (AI) tools in the initial step of the recruitment process to compare submitted resumes against the job description, to identify candidates whose education, experience and skills most closely match the requirements of the role. After the initial screening, all subsequent decisions regarding your application, including final selection, are made by our human recruitment team. AI does not make any final hiring decisions.

Responsibilities

As DevOps Architect, you will drive the design, shape and direction of our release management pipeline. This includes taking on a technical leadership role to define and implement new approaches to enable adoption of cloud services (public, private and hybrid) and the associated shifts in processes for development, business and IT. You will also be responsible for shaping the development environment and deployment of our cloud-native distributed backend solution.

  • Oversee design activities relating to maintenance and operations of a secure, efficient, reliable, distributed deployment solution. Provide code for the foundational infrastructure needed to enable these solutions.
  • Explore and prototype new technologies to resolve deployment bottlenecks and inefficiencies for cloud-native, distributed solutions.
  • Ensure development teams have access to the right tools by leading the adoption/creation of tooling and processes. The ultimate goal is a fully-automated release management pipeline that includes automated builds, environment creation, validation, deployment, and production monitoring.
  • Work in close collaboration with development teams to ensure proposed designs are compatible with production environments and practices.
  • Leverage a deep understanding of IaaS and PaaS services offered on cloud platforms to drive the technology changes required to support product architecture initiatives.
  • Provide options for new technology adoption into the organization to strengthen the operational efficiency of our engineering activities. Act as the technical point of contact for vendors before and after adoption.
  • Provide technical leadership across teams to refine initiatives into well-documented epics and stories that remove ambiguity by clearly articulating functional and nonfunctional system behavior expectations and design objectives.
  • Develop accurate cost and effort estimates as part of planning cycles to help the teams providing development support to prioritize and make scoping decisions.
  • Collaborate with other members of the product development team, architects and product managers to define dependencies and priorities.
  • Ensure that all deployed solutions follow security and compliance controls.
  • Provide technical and professional guidance, review, and coach DevOps Engineers to support their professional growth.
