As we continue to win major contracts and expand our in-house capabilities, we are looking for a skilled and experienced Architect to join our team full-time.
This role is critical to delivering compliant, innovative, and sustainable design solutions as part of our ongoing transition away from subcontracted services.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• A recognised Bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture or a related field
• Registration with the Architects Registration Board (ARB) or equivalent international body
• Minimum of 3 years’ post-qualification experience in architectural design and project coordination
• Proficiency in design software: AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and BIM tools
• Strong working knowledge of UK building regulations and planning processes
• Proven experience managing projects from concept to completion
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience with site inspections and resolving construction/design issues in real time
• Sound understanding of sustainability principles and modern construction methods
• Problem-solving mindset with a flexible approach to design constraints

THE ROLE

We are seeking a qualified Architect with strong technical and regulatory expertise to lead the design and planning of construction projects from concept to delivery. You will work closely with engineers, project managers, and external partners to ensure our designs are not only visionary, but also compliant, practical, and cost-effective.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead the design and planning of new construction projects from concept through to detailed technical drawings and execution
• Prepare, review, and revise architectural plans in compliance with UK building regulations and planning policies
• Produce architectural visualisations and specifications using AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and BIM software
• Liaise with engineers, project managers, and site teams to ensure coordination and feasibility
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress and resolve design-related issues
• Prepare planning applications and liaise with local authorities for approvals
• Conduct feasibility studies and present design proposals to clients and stakeholders
• Ensure design solutions incorporate sustainability and energy efficiency principles
• Collaborate with Quantity Surveyors to align design with project budgets
• Maintain accurate design documentation and ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory obligations
• Participate in client meetings, internal design reviews, and planning sessions
• Stay current with UK architecture trends, technologies, and materials
