POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Architect will be instrumental in crafting the physical spaces of our restaurants, from initial concept through to completion. This role demands creativity, precision, and effective project management to ensure that our restaurants not only look exceptional but also function efficiently.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in architectural design, preferably with commercial or restaurant projects.
  • Proficiency in architectural design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Deep understanding of building codes, construction methods, and design principles.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of effectively presenting ideas and solutions.
  • Proven ability to deliver innovative and functional design solutions.
  • Familiarity with MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) design is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of BOQ preparation and material specifications.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Creativity and innovation in design, combined with a practical understanding of operational and functional needs.

Responsibilities
  • Concept Development: Collaborate with internal teams to create innovative design concepts that enhance brand identity and customer experience. Provide design support for various company projects, including office spaces, promotional events and other ad hoc projects, as required by management.
  • Design: Develop comprehensive architectural plans and 3D renderings, ensuring alignment with design specifications and operational needs. Create floor plans, elevations, and 3D visualizations to present design concepts to management. Develop and maintain a design documentation library for future reference and use.
  • Project Management: Manage the design process from concept through construction, coordinating with contractors, engineers, and stakeholders. Coordinate with contractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services, and verify compliance with BOQ and design requirements. Manage project timelines to ensure all deliverables are met on time
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to all local building codes, safety regulations, and accessibility standards.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions without compromising design quality. Prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for the quantity of work, materials and furniture required for project construction and fit-out.
  • Collaboration: Work with interior designers (delete), kitchen planners, and other specialists to create cohesive and functional restaurant environments. Coordinate with Operation Department to ensure restaurant layouts reflect both brand positioning and operational functionality. Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure accurate pricing and cost estimates. Assist in sourcing and evaluating construction materials, finishes, and furniture to ensure they meet design specifications and project requirements. Prepare necessary design documentation for regulatory approvals and permits.
  • Innovation: Incorporate the latest design trends and technologies to enhance the customer experience and operational efficiency. Develop innovative architectural designs, layouts, and space plans that align with brand standards and operational requirements for new restaurant outlets and renovation projects.
  • Quality Control: Perform site inspections to ensure construction quality and design adherence.
