PLAYZE Architects

Architect (80-100%)

PLAYZE is an architecture firm with studios in Basel, Berlin, and Shanghai. Our inspiration stems from an intensive engagement with the diverse countries and cultures in which we work. The teams at each location are specialized in their local environment while simultaneously maintaining transcultural connections.

For our studio in St. Alban-Vorstadt in Basel, we are looking for someone to start immediately or by arrangement:

ARCHITECT (80-100%)

This is what awaits you

You will become part of a small, dedicated team with an open and friendly working atmosphere. Together, we develop and realize ambitious building construction projects of varying scales – from the initial concept to completion.

Our current projects include:

• a residential and commercial building in the heart of Basel's city center
• an event hall at Dreispitz
• a project for communal living and working on a former industrial site in Laufenburg
• the renovation and redesign of two apartment buildings in Allschwil
• Residential buildings in Oberwil
• a house for people with support needs in Hochwald

A particular focus of our work lies on innovative solutions in timber construction and the reuse of existing buildings and building components. Our timber construction competence team, PLAYZE Timber, in Berlin, develops future-oriented living and working concepts together with industry partners – this expertise is also directly incorporated into our Swiss projects.

This is what you bring with you

• Completed architecture studies (FH/ETH/TU) or comparable training with relevant professional experience
• At least two years of professional experience
• Design sense and understanding of construction processes
• Experience with timber construction and knowledge of BIM (Revit) are advantageous, but not a requirement.
• Good German skills

This is what we offer you

• Responsible collaboration on diverse projects - from concept to execution
• A friendly working atmosphere
• A small team with short decision-making processes
• A workplace in the heart of Basel, in a beautiful office in the St. Alban suburb.

We look forward to receiving your application!

Please send your application documents, including CV and portfolio, to basel@playze.com or contact us if you have any questions.
