Our government energy sector client is undertaking large-scale transformation projects focused on modernizing energy infrastructure, improving accessibility, and enhancing user experience. We’re seeking an experienced IT Architect with a strong background in IT project management and security/infrastructure for an initial contract to guide agile delivery teams in designing scalable, secure, and citizen-centered digital solutions. QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
8+ years of experience as an IT Architect or senior IT project manager with a strong technical background, focused on cross-functional collaboration.
5+ years providing architectural direction on enterprise-scale projects, particularly within the government sector.
Proven experience in system architecture design, domain modeling, and system integrations.
Strong IT background with experience working on Security and Infrastructure specific projects.
Azure Experience/Security Project Experience.
Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a track record of mentoring technical teams.

Responsibilities

Lead the technical architecture of IT solutions, from concept to delivery, within the energy sector.
Design scalable, iterative solutions that align with enterprise vision and architecture standards, with a focus on security and infrastructure.
Oversee and contribute to the architectural design and implementation of IT projects.
Guide domain modeling and system design for both transactional and reporting systems, with an emphasis on Azure-based solutions.
Mentor developers and support agile teams in delivering high-quality digital services.
Communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and influence architecture decisions.
Ensure compliance with government regulations and standards in architectural design.
