JOB OPPORTUNITY: ARCHITECT / TECHNOLOGIST

Location: P4BA Office, Worsley, Manchester M28
Salary: £35,000 – £45,000 DOE
Hours: 4-day week (Monday to Thursday), 39 hours/week

REQUIREMENTS

  • Live in or around Manchester and able to travel to our Worsley office.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for site and client visits.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ post-qualification experience in a similar role.
  • Qualified Architect or Architectural Technologist / Technician.
  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (CAD test may be required).
  • Confident in carrying out measured surveys and creating accurate floor plans.
  • In-depth understanding of UK Building Regulations and construction detailing.
  • Previous experience in residential sector projects is essential.
  • Excellent communication and team-working skills.
  • Motivated, professional, and keen to contribute to the company’s growth.

ABOUT THE ROLE

P4BA is seeking a talented and driven Architect or Architectural Technologist to join our growing Manchester-based team. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a dynamic studio working on a wide range of residential projects—including private new build housing, multi-storey apartments, HMOs, care homes, supported living developments, and commercial-to-residential conversions.
You will be expected to demonstrate experience and contribute across all RIBA stages, from early concept design through to technical development, planning submissions, and client coordination

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead or support the design and delivery of projects through all RIBA work stages.
  • Prepare planning and building regulation drawings and submissions.
  • Attend client and site meetings; undertake measured surveys.
  • Collaborate with consultants, contractors, and local authorities.
  • Manage your workload effectively and meet deadlines.
  • Support other team members and contribute to a positive studio culture.
