The City of Owen Sound is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical professional to join our Finance team as a Financial Analyst. Reporting to the Financial Services Supervisor, this position plays a key role in maintaining the City's financial integrity through financial reporting, analysis, budgeting support, treasury functions, business systems support, and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Prepare, review, and reconcile general ledger accounts, journal entries, payment vouchers, and financial transactions.
• Assist with annual financial statements, year-end working papers, and external audit requirements.
• Maintain and support accounting records for tangible capital assets, including acquisitions, disposals, and transfers.
• Provide financial analysis and reporting to departments across the organization.
• Support compliance with Public Sector Accounting Standards (PSAS), Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), municipal legislation, and internal controls
