OVERVIEW

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CAD Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in computer-aided design and be proficient in various CAD software tools. This role is essential for producing high-quality designs and schematics that meet project specifications and contribute to successful construction and system design.

REQUIREMENTS

• Proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD, MicroStation, SolidWorks, and 3ds Max.
• Experience with design tools such as SketchUp, Grasshopper 3D, and Rhinoceros 3D is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of Building Regulations is essential
• Strong understanding of construction principles and system design processes.
• Ability to produce high-quality schematics with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
• A background in graphic design is an advantage but not essential.

• Create detailed CAD drawings and schematics using software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and MicroStation.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to develop design concepts and ensure accuracy in all technical documentation.
• Utilise tools like SketchUp, Grasshopper 3D, Rhinoceros 3D, and SolidWorks to enhance design visualisation and functionality.
• Assist in the preparation of construction documents, including plans, sections, elevations, and details.
• Conduct regular reviews of designs to ensure compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
• Maintain an organised library of CAD files and documentation for easy access by team members.
• Assisting in the preparation of planning applications through the Planning Portal.
• Support graphic design efforts related to presentations and project proposals.
• Collaborating with senior architects and other team members to ensure projects meet deadlines and specifications.
• Ensuring all work is completed with a high level of attention to detail and precision.
