INTERMEDIATE ARCHITECT / DESIGNER

Dereaux Studio is seeking a talented Intermediate Architect/Designer to join our growing team. We’re looking for someone with a professional degree in Architecture and 4-7 years of experience, ideally with a strong background in high-end residential and hospitality work. The ideal candidate will bring well-rounded design and documentation expertise, and be confident in building strong working relationships with clients, contractors, and technical consultants.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture
  • 4+ years of professional experience
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines across all project phases
  • Highly collaborative and proactive approach to design and problem-solving
  • Expert-level Revit skills (minimum 3 years of Revit-based project work) and proficiency in AutoCAD
  • Experience with Rhino, Adobe Suite, and SketchUp preferred; strong rendering abilities a plus
  • This role is based in our office and requires on-site presence 5 days per week
Responsibilities

You should feel comfortable joining a project at any stage and adapting quickly. Responsibilities will include:

  • Working closely with senior staff across all phases of the project lifecycle, from schematic design through construction administration
  • Contributing to multiple luxury residential projects simultaneously, managing assigned work streams from concept through completion
  • Producing detailed drawing and specification packages for schematic design, design development, and construction documentation
  • Creating plans, elevations, and details that clearly convey design intent
  • Collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders including clients, architects, designers, contractors, fabricators, artisans, and developers
