POSITION SUMMARY

Watermark Design Group is seeking a motivated Architectural Designer I to join our growing team. This entry-level role supports architectural design projects under the supervision of a licensed architect or senior designer.
The Architectural Designer I will assist with conceptual designs, drawings, specifications, and project documentation to deliver high-quality, timely work that aligns with project objectives.
This position may also include responsibilities typically assigned to project coordinators. The role requires basic knowledge in drafting and designing tools, foundational architectural principles, and an eagerness to learn and grow in a collaborative environment.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or related field preferred.
  • 0–2 years of experience in architectural design.
  • Basic knowledge in AutoCAD and/or Revit required; experience with other design software is a plus.
  • Strong background in developing accurate, detailed drawings and models.
  • Ability to follow Watermark Design Group’s CAD and quality control standards.
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow professionally within a collaborative team.
Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Assist in developing architectural designs for commercial, industrial, and municipal projects.
  • Prepare drawings, construction documents, and presentations under the guidance of senior staff.
  • Demonstrate basic knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, and other design software for drafting and modeling tasks.
  • Apply a foundational understanding of architectural principles, materials, and construction methods.
  • Interpret design standards, building codes, and related regulations.
  • Support project coordination and client communication as needed.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal teams or work independently as required.
  • Manage workloads and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Apply knowledge of materials, construction methods, and sustainable design practices.
  • Estimate time and resources required for assigned tasks.
  • Comply with Watermark Design Group’s safety and quality assurance standards.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform other duties as assigned to support project and company goals.
