JOB OVERVIEW:

We’re seeking a versatile and detail-oriented Architectural Drafter/Designer to support our custom home or commercial projects from initial design through construction documentation. You’ll collaborate with management and external teams to create permit-ready plans, refine client concepts, and develop precise technical drawings that set each project up for success.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

• Degree, diploma or certification in Computer-Aided Design (CAD), Revit, Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
• 1+ years of experience as a CAD Drafter in an engineering, construction, or manufacturing environment.
• Journeyman carpenter or extensive hands-on construction experience.
• Familiarity with industry codes, regulations, and compliance standards.
• Knowledge of BIM (Building Information Modeling) and its applications.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or other CAD software.
• Strong knowledge of drafting techniques, technical drawing standards, and blueprint interpretation.
• Experience with structural drafting.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

• Develop, modify, and maintain 2D and 3D CAD drawings for engineering, manufacturing, or construction projects.
• Interpret technical specifications, blueprints, and sketches to create accurate and detailed drawings.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and project managers to ensure designs meet project requirements and industry standards.
• Revise drawings based on feedback and design modifications.
• Contribute to material takeoffs or schedules as needed.
• Maintain and organize CAD and Revit files, documentation, and project records.
• Ensure compliance with company and industry drafting standards.
• Support submittals for building permits and coordinate with city departments when required
• Assist in developing and improving drafting processes and procedures.
• Conduct quality checks to verify drawing accuracy and completeness.
