Our Architectural Designer provides their expertise, skill, and leadership skills in SLH’s two primary lines of business: Private Residential construction, and Multi-Family/Commercial construction.
On the Private Residential side, the Architectural Designer takes the lead in designing the homes of our clients by determining the type, style and purpose of their construction being considered, conceptualizes, and designs their homes and develops plans describing design specifications, building materials, costs, and construction schedules in collaboration with the Project Coordinator.
On the Multi-Family/Commercial side, the Architectural Designer coordinates the activities of our partnered engineers, and architects to secure project completion according to its delivery date, and reviews their schematics, drawings, and structural details. This is in addition to coordinating the communication and providing direction to our Design team.
To accomplish the duties required in both lines of business, the Architectural Designer must possess an intimate knowledge of part 9 and 3 of the Ontario Building Code, be able to work autonomously, and exercise exceptional problem solving, organization, and communication skills.
Possessing an Ontario BCIN license will be considered an asset.
