General Job Description
COMPANY NAME: BLB Design / Build
LOCATION: Amesbury, MA
HOURS: 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday-Friday
PAY: Based on skills and experience
The ideal Architectural Drafter will work closely with our design and production teams to create accurate, detailed, and buildable construction drawings for residential remodeling projects. Candidates should have experience in architectural drafting and residential construction and be skilled in CAD software. This position requires attention to detail, clear communication, and a deep understanding of construction techniques and remodeling workflows. This role entails the
following tasks, as well as other duties not mentioned, to ensure successful design execution and project delivery:

SKILLS + REQUIREMENTS:

• 3+ years of experience in residential design/drafting, with a focus on remodeling or renovations.
• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD and Sketchup experience is preferred)
• Knowledge of building codes, construction methods, and architectural detailing.
• Ability to read and produce construction documents with a high degree of accuracy.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Experience with permit documentation and compliance is a plus.
• Portfolio or work samples required.
