Job Title: Architectural Drafter Company: Challenger Building, LLC Department: Architecture Reports to: Architectural Department Manager Job Type: Regular Full-Time Work Hours: M-TH 8-5, F 8-12 Effective Date: May 2026 Exemption Status: Exempt Salary Range: $65,000-$85,000 Profit Sharing: Eligible and varies based on business results Benefits: · Medical/Dental/Vision Insurance · Life/Accidental Death/Short-Term Disability Insurance · Paid Time Off (PTO) · 401(k) Retirement Plan Role Summary: We’re seeking an experienced drafter who can quickly take ownership of complex drawing assignments with minimal onboarding. In this role, you’ll produce comprehensive construction document sets, maintain and update active plan libraries, and work closely with multiple departments across the company. This position requires strong judgment, initiative, and the ability to drive work forward beyond basic execution. Supervisory Responsibilities: None Essential Functions: · Produces accurate, detailed residential plans in AutoCAD per department design standards and local codes · Provides blacklines and exhibits for multiple departments across the company · Maintains and improves plan documentation across the active library of residential plan sets · Coordinates with our purchasing department, construction team, and engineers for buildable solutions Minimum Required Education/Credentials/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: · 3+ years of residential drafting experience · Proficient in AutoCAD · High attention to detail and consistency in drawing updates and document control · Work well under time constraints · Possess the ability to solve problems and think abstractly · Clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate with Construction and other teams Work Environment/Physical Requirements: Work Environment: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
