ABOUT YOU:

· Diploma or equivalent higher tertiary education in Interior Design or Architecture

· Previous experience of at least 1-year full time or 2-years part time in a Design or Architectural Drafting role

  • Experience in Sketchup Pro, Cabinet Vision, Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite and or other design software

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a positive attitude
· Excellent attention to detail with a creative flair
· Great time management skills
· Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team to achieve great results for our clients
· Joinery industry experience will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Due to ongoing growth, we are seeking an additional Architectural Draftsperson & Designer to be part of our team that prides itself on delivering high-end joinery to every client.
This role provides the perfect opportunity to build your career with a leading South Australian joinery company, working on some of South Australia’s best joinery projects. Alongside other talented designers.
The job entails:
· Interpreting drawings, architectural plans, specifications and regulations
· Preparing preliminary sketches, technical drawings and specifications for construction
· Creating models and 3D visualisations of detailed plans and project specifications
· Using and understanding software such as Sketchup Pro, Cabinet Vision, Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite and or other design software
· Collaborating with Senior Designers, to assist with client design consultations, selection appointments and site meetings
· Maintaining studio selection samples and coordinating restocking as required
· Creating documents including cost estimates and variations
· Preparation of schedules outlining selected elements such as hardware and material
· A commitment to meeting quality standards and deadlines

· Previous experience of at least 1-year full time or 2-years part time in a Design or Architectural Drafting role
