Job Description Overview We are seeking an experience Architecture Manager – Transportation to join an exciting metro project in Dubai, UAE. Your role Lead and manage a team of senior architects undertaking the design review of the D&B Contractor’s design in the Engineer role on a large-scale metro project. Ensure that all architectural and related design elements are coordinated, properly integrated, and align with project requirements. Build and maintain strong team cohesion, fostering a positive, collaborative, and high‑energy working environment under demanding project conditions. Provide technical direction across a wide spectrum of architectural and related engineering disciplines, including architecture, urban planning, landscape design, interior design, façade design, and materials. Review, assess, and provide documented opinions on Contractor design submissions, ensuring compliance with technical standards, project specifications, and operational requirements. Present design findings, recommendations, and strategic insights to senior stakeholders, including employer representatives, government bodies, and project leadership. Offer informed advice to the project leadership team to support decision‑making and resolution of complex design challenges. Encourage and press the Contractor to drive their architectural design processes to achieve progressive outcomes, from concept through to construction, ensuring seamless translation from design intent to buildability. Oversee design interfaces across multiple disciplines to support an integrated, efficient, and coordinated metro system design. Ensure all deliverables meet quality, safety, and contractual obligations. About you Extensive experience leading senior architectural teams on large, complex projects—ideally within the transportation, rail, or metro sectors. A proven ability to build cohesion, maintain morale, and promote team spirit within pressured project environments. Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the confidence to engage executive‑level stakeholders and employer organisations. The ability to make sound, timely decisions under pressure and in challenging project conditions. Deep knowledge of architectural design, urban planning, landscape design, interior design, facades, and material selection. Strong technical expertise across multidisciplinary design, particularly relating to metro/rail system coordination and architectural integration. Demonstrated experience delivering metro/transportation projects from early concept stages through to construction delivery. Solid understanding of construction methodologies, contracts, and site interface requirements. A collaborative mindset paired with the ability to provide firm professional opinions to contractors, stakeholders, and internal leadership.
