An opportunity has arisen to work on a variety of exciting residential developments with this well-established property/Housing developer. They specialise in the design and construction of both social housing and private dwellings. Their projects range from small developments to large-scale, mixed-tenure housing schemes, often on greenfield sites.
They are currently seeking an experienced Architectural Technician to join their team and support the delivery of high-quality housing developments.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

· Minimum 3 – 4 years proven experience in residential design, ideally within housebuilding or property development
· Strong knowledge of UK planning processes, policies, and procedures.
· Proficiency in AutoCAD; additional CAD/BIM software knowledge is advantageous.
· Strong IT and computer literacy skills.
· Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with planning departments, building control, and other stakeholders.
· Ability to adapt and respond quickly to project changes and design amendments.
· Experience in both social housing and private residential developments advantageous
· Knowledge of building regulations and standards relevant to housing.
· Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
· Proactive and adaptable, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
· Team player with the ability to collaborate across disciplines.
· Self-motivated and organised with excellent time management.

· Prepare and develop detailed design drawings and technical information using AutoCAD
· Manage and submit planning applications, including liaising with planning departments and addressing any feedback.
· Liaise effectively with building control officers to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
· Revise and adapt drawings as projects evolve, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
· Work closely with internal teams and external consultants to support the design and build process.
· Assist in preparing design packages for tender and construction.
· Provide technical support throughout the development lifecycle, from concept to completion.
