LONDON STAY APARTMENTS ARE CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR AN ARCHITECTURAL TECHNICIAN / DRAFTSMAN (RIBA PART I/II PREFERABLY) TO JOIN THEIR TEAM BASED IN CHARLTON. THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE A GOOD UNDERSTANDING OF THE DEVELOPMENT PROCESS HAVING WORKED IN BOTH THE RESIDENTIAL AND COMMERCIAL DEVELOPMENT SECTOR FOR MINIMUM PERIOD OF 2 YEARS.

We are looking for someone with a positive approach to work, a self-starter that takes initiative to develop their professional career further. You will be dealing with planning, HMO & building control applications, drafting, detailing and drawing through the use of AutoCAD and 3D modelling software. You should be able to take ownership of your project.

Experience:

Responsibilities

· Producing planning appraisals to the director.
· Preparing drawings, planning documents and renderings for extension, alteration and development.
· Preparing HMO licenses and change-of-use applications based on each council design standards.
· Liaising with the Planning case officer and chasing approval for current planning applications.
· Preparing Bills of Quantities – when required.
· Liaising with contractors and producing technical drawings.
· Ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, building regulations and good building practices.
· Establish strong working relationships with a wide range of people and use their own initiative and make your own decisions as well.
· You will also be working with the managing director on a daily basis, adhering to any additional tasks.
Skills and experience required:
· Good work ethic.
· Organisation is essential, as is your attention to detail.
· Good knowledge & understanding of the up-to-date Building Control Regulations.
· Demonstrated ability to identify and improve when creative work is not adhering to specific product technical and creative specs.
· Previous experience of using AutoCAD and 3D Modelling Software.
· Motivated individual with excellent negotiation/communication skills, confidence to “think on your feet” and hold a strong commercial awareness.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £23,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
