JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Architectural Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in architectural drafting and design, with proficiency in various software tools. This role involves collaborating with architects and engineers to produce high-quality drawings and models for both residential and commercial construction projects. The successful applicant will demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

REQUIREMENTS

• Proficiency in architectural software including AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Bluebeam, MicroStation, NavisWorks, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong drafting skills with a solid understanding of blueprint reading and construction processes for both residential and commercial projects.
• Bilingual candidates (English/French) are preferred but not required.
• Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail in design work.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Effective communication skills to interact with clients and team members professionally.
• Leadership qualities that foster teamwork within the architectural department.
• A background in construction or manufacturing is a plus.

• Create detailed architectural drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, and other design software.
• Collaborate with architects and project managers to develop project specifications and timelines.
• Prepare schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation for construction projects.
• Utilize SketchUp, NavisWorks, and Civil 3D for 3D modeling and visualization.
• Conduct analysis of designs to ensure compliance with building codes and regulations.
• Assist in project management tasks using Microsoft Project to track progress and deadlines.
• Provide support in the preparation of presentations using Adobe Creative Suite tools such as Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and PowerPoint.
• Maintain organized project files and documentation for easy access by team members.
• Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and team members to ensure project success.
• Demonstrate strong time management skills to meet project deadlines.
