We’re looking for an Architectural Technologist to join our passionate and mighty engineering & design team. In this role you will be developing and producing conceptual and schematic design drawings, BIM modelling, and rendering. This is an in office, full time, permanent role based in Grimsby, Ontario.

Responsibilities
  • Timely delivery of Building Code Compliant and cost-effective arrangement drawings and BIM modelling through acute collaboration with Manufacturing, Estimating Design, Compliance and Standards
  • Coordinates arrangement designs with other engineering disciplines and work closely with our manufacturing plant on design improvement and construction processes.
  • References the product cost estimate during the drawing process and raises any significant anomalies with the appropriate internal stakeholders
  • Ensures designs comply with relevant building codes, standards, regulations, and procedures
  • Prepares accurate, detailed material take-offs for assisting Estimating
  • Material take-off selections / quantities, identify opportunities for improvement and operate within ISO Quality system in all phases.
  • Assists with the development of a product specific BIM library for use by the design team.
  • View products in the manufacturing stage frequently with internal stakeholders to confirm accuracy of drawings,
  • Other duties as assigned
