We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Architectural Technologist to join our team. The successful candidate will be willing to learn, responsible and reliable.

EDUCATION:

• A degree or diploma in Architectural Technology or equivalent.
• BCIN Courses are preferred, but not mandatory.

SKILLS:

• Must be highly proficient in AutoCAD and SketchUp.
• Revit or other 3D drafting software an asset.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat.
• Excellent technical drawing and drafting skills.
• Strong knowledge of the Ontario Building code, zoning by-laws and regulations.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Must be able to work independently as well as a collaborative team. Must be able to receive and incorporate feedback.
• Must be kind, compassionate, and positive to work with our clients and other coworkers.

• Prepare preliminary plans and 3D presentation drawings based on clients’ requirements.
• Prepare presentations for client meetings, design review and approval.
• Prepare detailed architectural drawings, plans, elevations, sections and site plans.
• Ensure all drawings comply with the Ontario Building Code and applicable by-laws.
• Prepare documents for planning or permit applications.
• Communicate with clients to understand project requirements and incorporate feedback into the design process.
• Coordinate with municipalities to ensure permit is issued.
