QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
· Educational qualifications in Architectural Technology, Construction Studies, Civil Engineering or a similar construction related course of study, at a recognised educational institute or college is essential.
· Experience in Technical problem-solving skills is essential.
· The applicant will have excellent IT skills and will have a high level of proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, BIM Revit and Autodesk Technical Drawing Products.
· High professional work and quality standards.
· Ability to plan and organise work effectively.
· The Applicant will have excellent communication skills and will have the ability to make technical presentations and to host technical meetings with design teams.
· Full clean Irish driving license (not essential initially, potentially required in future as role develops).

THE ROLE:
The Engineering / Architectural Technologist will provide all relevant technical support to Moy’s and extended customer base including, but not limited to; approved contractors, surveyors, architects, main contractors, public authorities, local councils, clients and all end users.
The role will involve close communication and collaboration with Technical Management, Regional Sales Managers, Technical Managers and Site Field Technicians.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Development of the service based technical department
· Preparation/update & maintenance of technical documentation
· Drafting of project specifications & templates
· Development of product literature
· Preparation of standard/bespoke project drawings
· Review of project drawings, taking off measurements and quantities
· Preparation of BIM Revit models
· Site inspections of new and existing works
· Training of installers and industry professionals
· Participation in training provided by the Company
· Co-ordination of technical responses, ensuring accurate & efficient responses
· Design meetings and interfacing with architects and other industry professionals
· Other technical and service / support activities requested by the company
· Support in the development of new products
