Description

The Architectural Technologist will be responsible for performing day-to-day tasks with a focus on precision and attention to detail. This position will be held at our client’s head office in Springfield, Manitoba, just a few minutes outside of the city of Winnipeg.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Post-secondary education in a relevant field, such as architectural technology or another related program, is required.
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience working in architectural technology or a related discipline.
  • Certification in CTTAM and/or ABTAM will be considered an asset.
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of architectural drafting/design experience within the commercial or residential sectors is preferred.
  • High proficiency in Revit, including 3D modelling and producing construction documentation from 3D models.
  • Previous experience using relevant design software such as AutoCAD and SketchUp.
  • Strong knowledge of applicable building codes, zoning regulations and standards.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Experience in reviewing and coordinating structural, mechanical and electrical drawings.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a creative approach to finding solutions.
  • Capable of meeting strict deadlines while maintaining high-quality work standards.
Responsibilities
  • Transform conceptual and schematic designs into detailed construction documents using Revit.
  • Review drawings to ensure compliance with established specifications and standards and perform routine drafting and technical tasks as needed throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Contribute to the preparation of schematic designs, design development, construction documentation and any supplementary drawings.
  • Assist in maintaining quality standards and ensuring compliance with office production requirements, including format and special specifications.
  • Coordinate working drawing information with Senior Technologists and support the Project Lead in the integration of construction documents across all relevant disciplines.
  • Utilize Revit to produce 3D models and drawings as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
