Your Role: The HIV Area Business Manager (ABM) is part of the US Endocrinology Therapeutic Area and is responsible for promoting Serostim®, a product indicated for treating HIV patients with wasting or cachexia to increase lean body mass, body weight, and improve physical endurance. This full-time position manages sales and territory-related business requirements for healthcare providers, large HIV clinics, and academic centers. The ABM implements brand strategies through strategic account plans and customer engagements to help increase awareness of HIVAW, diagnosis and treatment with Serostim for appropriate patients. The ABM acts as the main contact between customers and EMD Serono, Inc., collaborating with teams in Marketing, Market Access, Patient Support, and Medical. This role involves forming customer relationships, developing product market presence, meeting sales objectives, identifying customer needs, and facilitating professional interactions between customers and EMD Serono. It also involves continuous professional development and staying current with therapeutic area advancements. Territory boundaries include Austin, TX, San Antonio, TX, West Texas, Colorado, New Mexico, and surrounding areas. The position involves travel up to 80%. Who You Are: Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline. 5+ years of sales experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare sector. Valid driver’s license. Preferred Requirements: Experience in the HIV, Endocrinology, Rare Disease, or Specialty Biologics markets. Compassion for and awareness of issues impacting patients living with HIV/AIDS. Record of exceeding sales objectives. Proficiency in sales engagement and strategic plan implementation. Knowledge of scientific and clinical business practices. Ability to understand, process, and communicate information about products, diseases, and marketplaces. Background in payor and market access system. Analytical skills for integrating market insights into strategic plans. Time management and administrative abilities. Demonstrated ability to lead without authority, effectively influence cross-functional teams, and drive alignment toward shared goals. Experience navigating complex hospital or health system account management processes. Strong presentation and communication skills, with an aptitude for tailoring messaging to diverse audiences including senior leadership and external stakeholders. Proven track record of launching new products or indications within the specialty pharmaceutical landscape. History of effective collaboration with Field Reimbursement, Patient Access, and Market Development teams. Understanding of compliance regulations and corporate governance within pharmaceutical sales environments. Base Pay Range for this position - $147,300 – $220,900 The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors.
