Overview Area Business Manager – NEC Contract Operations LOCATION: El Segundo, CA JOB STATUS: Full-time CLEARANCE: DoD Secret (or ability to obtain) SALARY: $75,000 – $95,000 Astrion is seeking an experienced and highly organized Area Business Manager to support the NEC Contract Operations team in El Segundo, CA. This role provides critical administrative, operational, and compliance management across a high-visibility Space Force program. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and able to coordinate personnel access, manage contract documentation, support financial processes, and ensure smooth day-to-day operations across multiple functional areas. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS 5+ years of experience in business administration, contract operations, office management, or government program support High School diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred Experience supporting DoD, Space Force, or government programs (desired) Strong organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail Ability to manage sensitive information with confidentiality Experience coordinating access (CAC, system accounts, building access) preferred Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, and SharePoint (required) Experience supporting compliance tracking, document control, or audit preparation strongly preferred Strong written and verbal communication skills Demonstrated ability to multitask and manage competing priorities Ability to work independently and interact with government personnel, vendors, and internal teams PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS Experience supporting government contract operations Familiarity with controlled document management Experience with ServiceNow, SharePoint, Teams, or workflow systems Experience managing P-Card or financial reconciliation Understanding of DoD/USSF administrative processes RESPONSIBILITIES Administrative & Operations Support – NEC Contract Serve as the primary administrative and operational point of contact for NEC leadership, coordinating schedules, communications, tasking, and documentation. Manage contract-related correspondence, organize workflows, and ensure smooth operational coordination across government, vendor, and Astrion teams. Personnel, Access & Government Account Coordination Coordinate onboarding/offboarding, CAC issuance, government account setup, building access requests, and access roster maintenance. Track and maintain accurate personnel documentation, compliance forms, and access records in support of NEC contract requirements. Compliance, Security & Contract Documentation Maintain audit-ready contract documentation in SharePoint, including NDAs, rosters, debrief packages, and controlled files. Update documentation regularly and ensure compliance with contract and audit standards. Training & Certification Tracking Track required NEC training and certifications, ensuring timely completion. Maintain training records and compliance documentation. Facilities & Building Coordination Coordinate building access badges, parking access, and visitor entry for NEC personnel. Resolve access issues with building management and security. Financial & P-Card Management Manage authorized purchases using a company P-Card and maintain reconciliation records. Allocate expenses correctly and ensure financial documentation meets audit standards. Meetings, Events & Cross-Functional Support Schedule and coordinate NEC meetings, briefings, and events, including materials and follow-up. Support cross-functional operational requirements and leadership requests. General Office & Operational Support Provide office logistics support, vendor coordination, and administrative assistance. Improve documentation workflows and operational efficiency.
