Responsibilities

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

The Area Controller serves as a Business Partner of the GSD Management Team to control the business in the SEA countries, and support Principal Hub in Singapore, in particular the management of sales, gross margins, inventories, foreign currency and credit risks. The Area Controller will also assist Regional Controller MEA in any financing business partnering activities for the APAC and Middle East region.

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review monthly actual results, and co-ordinate with the Finance Shared Services team to ensure accurate recognition of revenue/cost in the book. .
  • Review the vendors’ invoices in Basware to ensure coding & cost centre charge in order
  • Coordination of the forecasting process of all business sales volumes, gross margins, logistic costs and inventories for the Principal company, SEA & Australia (based on quotation pipeline and orderbook) in close cooperation with the Principal Controller, Supply Chain Controller and Region Controller
  • Performing detailed analysis with findings & comments for monthly financial & business metrics of assigned countries against targets and historical performance trends..
  • Assist to ensure internal control in place, corporate governance & compliance to Group policy and local regulation.
  • Management of the intercompany cost recharging model, providing instructions to Finance Shared Services Team and local controllers and control of quarterly intercompany reconciliations in cooperation with Corporate Tax
  • Forecasting and analysing of the financial and business metrics of any adjacent GSD SaaS and EaaS businesses and reporting insights to the business teams
  • Support the Region Controller and Regional Management Team with finance business partner activities for APAC/ME areas as and when assigned.
