Reporting Structure: US Operations Manager
Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday, Day Shift
Salary: The salary range for this position is $100,000 - $120,000 per year. The final salary and title offered will be based on qualifications and experience.
Location: Hillsboro, Oregon
The Area Coordinator will be a pivotal member of the site leadership team, playing a key role in leading and developing the Decommissioning (Demo) Engineering team and overseeing project operations. This hands-on, in person role requires exception leadership, scheduling, and communication skills to drive performance excellence, customer satisfaction, and continuous growth across the site.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Preferred BS in Engineering, Technology, or associates degree or certificate in related field
  • 5+ years’ experience in a people management role within a technical environment.
  • Preferred Semiconductor people management experience
  • Demonstrated ability to manage large teams.
  • Strong understanding of Health and Safety regulations, with proven experience in driving safety initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience managing teams, including performance management, people development, and resource allocation.
  • Proven track record in client relationship management, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven leadership skills with a focus on team development, accountability, and communication.
  • Ability to manage and thrive in ambiguous situations, making informed decisions and adapting quickly to evolving business needs and priorities.
  • Excellent analytical, decision-making, and organizational skills.
  • Capability to analyse schedules for both tactical and strategic planning.
  • Strong understanding of billing and costs, and their financial impact on the company, with strong commercial awareness and business acumen to drive strategic decision-making and profitability.
  • Competence in the use of all MS Office applications.
  • Valid Oregon Driver License.
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel within the US to other client sites when required.
Responsibilities
  • Champion and role model the company’s Mission, Vision, & Values.
  • Be an engaged member of the site leadership team, driving site culture and alignment.
  • Build and execute Demo growth strategies aligned with US Operations Manager, Head of Engineering, and Senior Leadership Team.
  • Ensure compliance with site safety and quality protocols.
  • Lead by example, consistently demonstrating ‘walk the talk’ leadership.
  • Act as the key point of contact for customers regarding demo schedules.
  • Analyse schedules regularly to identify new business opportunities.
  • Gatekeep all new Demo SOWs, ensuring standardisation, structure, and alignment with customer expectations.
  • Deliver monthly metric scorecards and performance reports to US Operations Manager and Head of Engineering.
  • Hire, train, and retain a high performing team of FSEs
  • Conduct regular 1:1s, employee check-ins, and annual performance reviews.
  • Drive development roadmaps and succession planning initiatives in collaboration with HR/ Recruitment.
  • Lead mentorship and engagement programs to promote retention, performance, and morale.
  • Implement fair and consistent disciplinary processes and manage performance improvement plans.
  • Set and monitor SMART KPIs that align with site, customer, and business goals.
  • Monitor safety, quality, cost, and timeline/schedule metrics, striving for best-in-class performance.
  • Ensure all employee training and certifications are documented, tracked, and up to date.
  • Manage PTO schedules, timecards, headcount trackers, and site documentation.
  • Maintain accurate program billing and attendance reporting.
  • Oversee onboarding and ensure tools, equipment, and access is set up on time.
  • Manage site-level escalations, PPE stock, and equipment requirements.
